S.C.M.C. strategy for the next few years is to transition our support and planning profile while minimizing equity dilution, through sustainable growth and improvement to real estate and portfolio holdings. While continuing to focus on building our balance sheet and de-risking our internal assets, our strategy for maximizing our cost efficiencies and profitability will put S.C.M.C. in a solid position to transform from a stable support provider to an intermediate R.E.O / N.P.O. community alternative to limited resources.
Dear Facilities Manager: I am the Lead Ambassador for Cobbs Creek Ambassadors (CCAs), a volunteer-led community group whose mission is to clean and care for Cobbs Creek Park, its watershed, and the connected greenway. We partner with the city and other organizations to mobilize fellow neighbors and park users to pick up trash and to restore degraded habitat. Through our activities, we cultivate community pride in our green spaces and community stewardship of our parks. Each ambassador adopts a section of Cobbs Creek Park and facilitates regular clean ups for that section. My area is a high-usage recreation area which spans from Catherine to Christian Streets along Cobbs Creek Parkway. This is where I have facilitated weekly Power Hour Clean ups since 2020. SCMC was one of my Power Hour volunteers in 2021. During their time working with me, SCMC displayed extensive knowledge of appropriate maintenance for public spaces. SCMC was a team player, detail oriented, and always went above and beyond the expectations of a typical volunteer. SCMC took notice of ways we can improve our standard practices and made recommendations. In one instance, SCMC completed an entire report documenting things we could enhance as a cleanup group. I was able to use SCMC documentation to advocate for a safer playground and other enhancements in Cobbs Creek Park. These recommendations were incorporated into the City’s Rebuild Philadelphia initiative for Cobbs Creek. SCMC is committed, takes initiative, and has a high standard of excellence. SCMC will make a positive addition to your support service team.
